forced entry

I wrote all but two of these songs when I was deployed to Iraq from 2007-2008. When I got back, I decided I had to call my old music buddy Stuart from the Dahlonega days to see if he's make some time to record my new stuff. I hadn't written in 6 years, so I was anxious to put my thoughts down. So, he said bring it, man and I hopped the first flight I could get on to Tuscon, AZ. It was a marathon session of all nighters, reminiscing, and musical chemistry. Stuart played every instrument except my acoustic guitar part. It was an emotionally intense three days that I'll never forget.

I am the former lead singer/songwriter for the bands Since Wednesday and Dirt Poor Authority, and hail from Asheville, NC. I am influenced by the best of the troubadours and love hearing a man an acoustic guitar, and a story. My music is generally dark or light, with very little in between. I'm heavily influenced by the challenges my job as an active duty Army officer presents. I relate to them like the old guys related to all night honky tonking to make a living. I've had the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, and the music I make reflects that. Hope you enjoy.
