forced entry

Forced Entry wasted no time in releasing their debut record "American Beauty" in 1999, which landed them a development deal with Sony Music. Unfortunately, their ally at the label, John Kalodner (AC/DC, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, White Zombie, Madness, XTC, Whitesnake, Wang Chung, and Aerosmith), left Sony shortly thereafter. Forced Entry quickly picked up where they left off independently - playing college gigs and club circuits all over the southeast. Now with their latest album Forced Entry III, the guys from FE are rocking harder and more passionately than ever!

"I wrote all but two of the songs on From Baghdad to Bisbee when I was deployed to Iraq from 2007-2008. When I got back, I decided to call my old music buddy Stuart from the Dahlonega days to see if he'd make some time to record my new stuff. I hadn't written in 6 years, so I was anxious to put my thoughts down. So he said "bring it man" and I hopped the first flight to Tuscon. It was a marathon session of all nighters, reminiscing and musical chemistry. Stuart played every instrument except my acoustic guitar part. It was an emotionally intense three days that I'll never forget..."

"Losing the only person I ever loved and going to war in love with a stranger inspired me to write very powerful songs that traversed the boundaries of my emotions. Whether I was writing about coming home to a daughter who didn’t know my name, about my ex, or the warmth I felt staring at Tina’s picture, these songs reproduce the feelings of tragedy and love. Angel was a song that enabled me to share my deepest feelings with Tina, from 7,000 miles away. First recorded in an M113 on a tape recorder, it has served as a constant reminder of who we are, where we were, and what we have made it through. Knowing that she is at my side reminds me that I can do anything."

"I spent a year in Iraq, guarding detainees of war. Being in that environment, away from home, missing loved ones and everything else that is near and dear to your heart really makes you sit yourself down and realign your priorities. I’ve seen young men and women grow up very fast in a short period of time. I’ve seen the effects that being so far from home can have on a person. I still haven’t been able to fully capture those emotions but I’m working on it. To tell that story you have to be sure to give it the kind of respect and attention it deserves."

combat recordings

Champion Records™ is the only record label in the world that will be producing and releasing recorded music by our deployed troops abroad. Combat Recordings™ are rough and raw, in-theater recordings, with no attempt to filter out the background sounds that permeate the regions. We travel to the bases, FOB's (Forward Operating Bases), and COP's (Combat Out Posts) to record what the soldier of today actually feels, believes and expresses through their music. Champion Records' Combat Recordings™ is creating music that is raw from the barracks, hooches and tents of our deployed soldiers to give the listener the feeling of actually sitting beside the soldier/musician, while listening to their hearts being played out with their instruments and voices.
